How Ratio-One handles personal data. Last updated 18 October 2026.

Who we are

Ratio-One is a UK business operating this website and the Ratio-One platform. For the personal data described here, Ratio-One is the organisation responsible for your information. Questions, requests and concerns about your data can be sent to akselinsights@gmail.com.

What we collect

Account information. When you create an account we store your email address and a secure version of your password. If you sign in with Google, we receive the name, email address and profile picture that your Google account shares with us.

Information you add to your workspace. Equipment names and descriptions, dates, costs, assumptions, planned interventions and any saved comparisons you choose to keep. This is the information you enter yourself; we do not collect it from anywhere else and we do not add figures of our own.

Pro waitlist sign-ups. If you join the waitlist, we store your email address and the time you signed up.

Technical records. Our hosting provider may keep standard technical records, such as browser type and IP address, that are needed to operate and secure the service.

What we do not collect

This site does not use analytics services, advertising networks or tracking cookies. Nothing on the site follows you around the web, and no profile of your browsing is built or sold.

Enquiry and contact forms

Online enquiry submission is not switched on yet. When you complete the contact or business enquiry form, the information is prepared as a document for you to download and is not sent to us or stored by us. We will update this page before any form begins submitting directly.

Emails we send

We send the messages needed to run your account: email confirmation when an account is created, password reset links when you ask for one, and account security notices. These are sent from notify.ratio-one.com and shown with the sender name Ratio-One. We do not send marketing email, because there is nothing to market yet.

How your information is used

To create and maintain your account, to show you your own workspace, to calculate the results you ask for, to keep the service secure, and to respond when you contact us. Waitlist addresses are used only to tell you when Pro becomes available.

Who can see your data

Your workspace is private to your account. Access is checked at the database level, so signed-out visitors see nothing and one account cannot open another account's equipment records. Waitlist addresses are visible only to the account that runs the business. We do not sell personal data, and we share it only with the providers needed to run the service — hosting, database and email delivery — or where we are legally required to.

How long we keep it

We keep account and workspace information while your account is open. Waitlist entries are kept until you ask us to remove yours. If you close your account, or ask us to delete your information, we remove it from the workspace.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Each account's data is separated from every other account, and access is limited to what a signed-in user is entitled to see. No system can be made completely risk-free, so we keep the information we hold to the minimum the service needs.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask for anything inaccurate to be corrected, ask for your information to be deleted, and object to the way we use it. Email akselinsights@gmail.com and we will handle the request. If you are not satisfied, you can raise the matter with the Information Commissioner's Office.

Children

The service is aimed at businesses and professionals and is not intended for children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will be updated. Where a change affects how personal data is used, we will tell account holders before it takes effect.
