Terms of service

The terms that apply when you use this website and the Ratio-One platform. Last updated 18 October 2026.

Using the service

These terms apply to anyone who uses this website or a Ratio-One account. By creating an account or using the platform you accept them. If you are using Ratio-One on behalf of a business, you confirm you are able to agree to these terms for that business.

What the service is

Ratio-One is a set of online tools for asset lifecycle and replacement planning: a private equipment register, lifecycle timelines, cost comparisons between retaining, refurbishing and replacing, and portfolio planning. The service is currently in early release. A Pro subscription is not yet available and no prices have been announced. Bespoke work is discussed individually and nothing on this site is an offer of services at a stated price.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details safe and do not share your account. You are responsible for activity that happens under it. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has used it. We may close or suspend an account that is being used against these terms.

The information you add

You keep ownership of the equipment and cost information you enter. You are responsible for making sure you are entitled to record it and that it is accurate. Only you can see it. You can edit or delete it at any time, and closing your account removes it.

What the tools do not do

The calculations are planning support, not professional advice. They do not replace engineering inspection, safety obligations, accounting treatment, tax or legal advice, or the judgement of the people responsible for the equipment. Every result is based on the assumptions and figures supplied and is shown with its method and limitations. Timing conclusions depend on the chosen planning horizon and on assumptions such as discount rate, maintenance growth and downtime cost, so a result is not a guarantee of the best economic decision. We do not predict failures, and we do not present a condition rating as a financial benefit.

Demonstration data

Sample equipment records are available only when you choose to load them, are clearly marked as demonstration data, and can be removed. They are not presented as real customer evidence, and no totals on the site are invented.

Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully. Do not attempt to view or change another account's information, interfere with the service, or collect content or data from it by automated means without our agreement.

Availability and changes

The service is provided as it is. We do not promise uninterrupted access, and features may be added, changed or withdrawn as the product develops. Where a change would meaningfully affect an account holder's use, we will give notice where we can.

Ownership

The Ratio-One name, design and materials on this site belong to Ratio-One. The information you enter remains yours, and you give us the permission we need to store and process it purely so the service can work for you.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Ratio-One is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for business decisions taken using the tools. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Ending your use

You can stop using the service and ask for your account and data to be deleted at any time by emailing akselinsights@gmail.com.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date above will be updated and account holders will be told where a change materially affects them.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions can be sent to akselinsights@gmail.com.
